Denizen McKinney Hotel

My husband and I were in the area looking for work. We thought we’d stop by in person to see if we could speak with somebody about any open positions for house keeping. We went to the front desk of the hotel and were greeted by a very polite, understanding, young woman. She was very informative on how we could apply online and that is the one way to speak about a position. I know that without her I would’ve not been able to figure this out, so with that being said I am very thankful for the amazing staff and welcoming attitude of the front desk. Thank you for your time, attention, and patience. We definitely felt seen, heard, appreciated, and helped.

One of the best hotels in the McKinney area. The hotel is located conveniently for what we needed to do while in town. Everything about this hotel is right. Some of my favorite restaurants are next door. The hotel staff is very professional and friendly. The rooms are immaculate. As soon as you open the door you get a freshness right to the nose. I feel like they pump febreze into the HVAC. Beds are very comfortable. I skipped my "member points" I receive from one of the big hotel chains to try this place out and I was not disappointed. I stay at the Denizen in McKinney, Texas every other month for work and the location is a huge plus. It’s close to so many great restaurants and conveniently located near everything I need. We usually do a little grocery shopping for the week, and the in room amenities make it the perfect place to stay. I mean what other hotel has a fridge?!?! This one! We typically stay in the executive king suite, which is fantastic, but I’ve also stayed in a regular king room. While it has a bit less space, it still had everything I needed and was just as comfortable and still a medium sized fridge! One evening, I met a friend in the lobby for a glass of wine and the space is perfect for that. There are so many great seating areas, plus convenient grab and go food options just around the corner of the lobby. At checkout, Karen was there, who I’ve met several times during my various stays, to help us and we also met Tony. We needed to weigh our luggage, and Tony went out of his way to find a scale for us. Karen also engaged in many conversations to find out a little more about me and I her. It’s those little moments where the staff goes above and beyond that make this hotel a standout for me.

We had a GREAT stay! The room was new and clean; we loved that we had a fridge, plates, bowls, silverware, and a kcup machine. There was also a steamer for formal clothes. The one thing that was missing was a wall hanger for long clothes such as formal dresses. The bed was comfortable, housekeeping was kind, and Karen at the front desk was great as well! We hope to be back!

I would have given the hotel all 5 stars, but sadly, the tallest receptionists ruined it. Just by walking in, it looked like she was unhappy to be there, and it also looked like she was arguing with one of the other employees. She was rude and argumentative, as first she couldn't find the reservation, and asked aggressively where we booked it. There was another receptionist right next to her who apologized for her behavior, she was very helpful. It was my first time staying there which was for work, and we needed to be closed to the highway and main exits. The hotel is definitely nice, new, clan and cozy. The rooms was clean, bed was comfortable and smell good.

From the moment we arrived until the day we left, we had a wonderful stay! The hotel is clean, modern, and quiet, with super comfortable beds and beautiful bathrooms. They’ve really thought of everything to make your stay easy. The grab-and-go area is great for snacks or even a quick meal, especially since the rooms have a microwave, big fridge, sink, dishwasher, and dishes. Photos are from the grab and go area. There are several cozy seating areas with fireplaces, perfect for relaxing before heading out for the day. The location was excellent too—right off a major highway, yet surprisingly quiet with no traffic noise. Next door there are several great restaurants you can walk to easily like the Broken Yolk for breakfast. Overall, the hotel fit our needs perfectly, and we’ll definitely stay here again the next time we visit our friends in McKinney. A very special shout out to Karen at the front desk who was always polite and super helpful!

I did not stay at this hotel however the hospitality of the front desk lady was amazing! My vehicle was broke down and we got it into her parking lot. She let me use the restroom and purchase food from the market plus stay warm in the front desk area until my car was back up and running! I very much love to the hospitality if I ever came back to this area I would definitely stay at this hotel!

I was visiting for the holiday and chose this hotel has it is located within walking distance of Bob’s Steakhouse, MiCocina, Sushi, PieTap pizza, Common Table, and a very large outdoor seating area perfect for families with a stage. They regular have on sports, movies, or music. The hotel is very clean and quiet. The front desk was very gracious. I loved the ambience of the indoors. I used to live within half of mile from here so it was a nice place to come back to and feel like home. Soft beds, good toiletries, coffee maker, refrigerator, views all around Hub 121
